Description of the flag

A red-white-blue horizontal tricolor, with a county map in the center, and a cob of corn and stems of wheat on the white stripe. County name and date on the lower blue stripe.
Phil Nelson, 9 November 2003

This red, white and blue flag shows the outline of Union County. A large blue star appears in the middle. Corn and wheat are seen on the white stripe. Union County was established in1820. Its name reminds us that it was created as a union of parts from other counties.
