The flag of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (in Spanish Real Federación Española de Fútbol, RFEF) is white with a diagonal stripe in the colours of the Spanish flag and with the federation's emblem in the centre. The flag has a ratio of 2:3 like most Spanish flags. I do not know the adoption date, but I believe it dates from the early 1990s. The Royal Spanish Football Federation was constituted on 29th September 1913 and is a member of both FIFA and UEFA.

I was wandering if this emblem could have been designed by Joan Miró, who designed, if I remember correctly, the emblem of the Spanish World Cup 1982. Miró also designed the logo of La Caixa, a Catalan bank now with international branches.

Unfortunately Joan Miró died in 1983 so he could not carry out this design. I do not know who was its author but I are convinced that he was inspired by the brilliant artist's work. What Joan Miró did indeed design was the official poster for the Spanish World Cup 1982, which can be seen at this website.

Perhaps more familiar worldwide – and more logo-like – is the design he made to promote Spanish tourism, which can be seen for instance at the website of the Spanish Tourism Institute website.
